For one of our clients we are searching for a Senior Purchaser

Job Description:

  • Accountable for cost, schedule and quality on all deliverables within your scope
  • Manage commercial negotiations and the procurement process
  • Ensuring on-time supply of materials, goods and services which fulfils our internal and customer quality-, commercial-, legal- and ethical requirements
  • Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communications
  • Continuous Improvement efforts within procurement at the delivery unit and across the value chain to reduce overall cost, improve quality, shorten lead times and improve on-time delivery
  • Conducting RFQs, bid comparisons and purchase with existing and new suppliers for sales projects, consumables as well as CAPEX
  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures
  • Report procurement progress to different stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Formal education: Bachelor or major, preferably within Supply Chain/NIMA, or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years practical experience as purchaser.
  • Ability to add value, reduce costs and enable business improvements
  • Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Excellent Commercial and financial understanding
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and structured manner in English, both written and verbally
  • Computer skills: Very good knowledge of Excel and ERP systems
  • Language: Fluent Norwegian and English language.
  • Personal skills: Pro-active and independent, service minded and structured
